Jamie Worden is the CEO and founder of Worden Capital Management, LLC. He is responsible for formulating the vision of Worden Capital and carrying out its execution. Mr. Worden set out with a unique vision to better service clients in the financial markets. In doing so, Mr. Worden now takes pride and enjoyment in helping clients achieve their financial goals. Attention to detail, good listening skills, and great empathy are qualities that help Mr. Worden work with clients. He has extensive experience in navigating the financial markets. Mr. Worden specializes in debt-focused strategies which can offer superior non-correlated returns. He is a General Securities Principal with a Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
Chief Operating Officer
Richard Borgner joined Worden Capital in April 2013, where he is Chief Operating Officer and Supervising Manger. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, including over 20 years in retail. He has held positions as mutual fund and insurance sales coordinator at several firms as well as branch manager. Gradually migrating over to management full time, for the last 10 years has been both assistant and chief compliance officer for several boutique investment firms. He is not only a General Securities Principal, but holds his Options Principal and Municipal Securities Principal licenses as well as his Series 7, 63 and 99. In his short time at Worden Capital he has helped streamline several areas of Compliance and Operations, and increased the efficiency in both areas.
Richard lives in Seaford, NY with his wife and family.
Managing Director | Alternative Investments
Burt Bartlett serves as Managing Director of Alternative Investments at Worden Capital Management (WCM). Prior to joining WCM, Burt spent 12 years as a Principal with an investment manager in Milwaukee, managing a portfolio with client assets exceeding $1 billion. Burt launched his career in Oppenheimer & Co.s Wealth Management Division in New York, rising through the ranks to Vice President before moving to Milwaukee-based Robert W. Baird & Co. in the same role. With thirty-two years of experience in the investment management industry, Burt has guided clients through the peaks and troughs of many investment cycles.
Drawing on these experiences, Burt concentrates his practice on alternative investments suitable for clients looking for durable income streams paid on a monthly or quarterly basis. Burts objective is to deliver strong risk-adjusted returns to clients by minimizing interest rate risk and correlation with broad market indices. After navigating periods of extreme leverage and market volatility over the past three decades, Burt has focused the second half of his investing career on vehicles that generate regular cash flows for clients. A majority of client portfolios are spread amongst real estate investment trusts (REITs), business development companies (BDCs) and master limited partnerships (MLPs), and Burt is in constant contact with thought leaders in those industries to drive optimal performance for his clients.
Burt earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and received his CFA Charter in 1994. Burt is married with two adult children and lives in Mequon, WI.
Senior Managing Director
As a Managing Director at Worden Capital Management, Matthew realizes that each client’s financial picture is different and that priorities change depending on time horizon, how wealth was accumulated and long-and short-term goals. Accordingly, Matt helps each of his clients develop a strategy tailored to their unique needs and expectations.
Matthew brings over 15 years of experience to the Worden Capital team, providing his investment expertise to high net worth individuals and corporate executives. Over the years Matthew has dealt with a broad range of products including ETFs, Private Equity, and New Issues. Matthew specialized in the secondary markets and became a pioneer in the Venture Capital sector. He possesses strong leadership abilities and is also able to function as an integral part of a financial services team, knowing when to draw on the experience and knowledge of specialists. Above all, he understands the goals of our most affluent clients and is committed to meeting those expectations.
Matthew grew up and currently resides in NY with his wife of 10 years and their 2-year-old son. He is an avid fisher, enjoys traveling, and when he is not spending time with his family he enjoys to golf. Matthew is very active in the American Heart Association community through awareness building and community outreach.

As a Managing Director at Worden Capital Management, Brandon brings his significant wealth of knowledge of the public and private equity markets to our team. Brandon knows that each client’s financial goals and concerns are unique. He directly engages with clients to help them identify short and long-term life and family goals, and then helps to meet those needs with a vast array of investment vehicles. Brandon believes that understanding family dynamics is essential to superior wealth management and that effective planning helps clients maintain financial independence and the ability to pursue what is important to them.
Brandon brings over 10 years of experience as a Financial Advisor to the Worden Capital team. He has spent years working closely with clients, listening to and helping them identify their goals and then working to implement an investment strategy to help them meet those goals. Brandon specializes in developing personalized financial plans for his clients and provides sound advice on a variety of portfolio and financial planning issues ranging from venture capital funds and retirement planning to portfolio management and insurance needs.
Brandon grew up in Rockland County, NY and currently lives in Long Island with his wife and their 3-year-old son He is president of the nonprofit organization The Alex Cefalu Memorial Foundation, which runs an annual charity golf outing to honor a late childhood friend through which all profits are donated to The Immune Deficiency Foundation and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Brandon is also very active in the ALS community through awareness building, donation raising, and Hunt for a Cure. This is a personal mission for Brandon as his family has been directly affected by this brutal disease. He is an avid sports fan, enjoys traveling, and when not spending time with his family, can be found playing golf and softball.
